Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 7, 2026
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how ALF Attorneys ("ALF Attorneys," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you visit our website, contact us, or communicate with us by phone, email, or text message. By using this website, you acknowledge that you have read this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with it, please do not use the website.
This Policy applies to information collected through this website and through communications that begin on or relate to it. It does not govern information we receive after you become a client. Information about our clients and their matters is handled under our professional duties of confidentiality and the terms of our engagement agreement.
2. Please Do Not Send Confidential Information Through This Website
Sending us a message does not create an attorney-client relationship, and information you submit through the website may not be protected by the attorney-client privilege until we have agreed to represent you. Please share only the basic facts needed for us to follow up, such as your name, contact details, and a short description of your situation. Do not send sensitive documents, account numbers, passwords, or detailed accounts of your case until we have spoken with you and confirmed that we can help.
3. Information We Collect
Information you provide to us
When you fill out a form, call us, text us, or email us, we may collect:
- Identifiers and contact information, such as your name, telephone number, email address, and city or state.
- The practice area or type of matter you are asking about, such as a vehicle, injury, or workplace issue.
- The details you choose to include in your message, which may include information about your vehicle, an accident, your health or injuries, or your employment.
- Your communication preferences and your consent to be contacted.
Information collected automatically
When you use the website, we and our service providers may automatically collect technical information, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, the pages you view, the date and time of your visit, and the website or search that referred you. This information is collected through cookies and similar technologies, which are described in Section 8.
Information from other sources
We may receive information about you from service providers that help us operate our website and respond to inquiries, and from individuals who refer you to us. We combine this information with what you provide to us when it helps us respond to your inquiry.
4. How We Use Information
We use personal information to:
- Respond to your inquiries and requests for a case review.
- Evaluate whether we may be able to assist you and, where appropriate, begin the intake process.
- Communicate with you by phone, text message, and email, as described in Section 6.
- Operate, maintain, secure, and improve our website and understand how it is used.
- Detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, security incidents, and other harmful activity.
- Comply with legal obligations, enforce our terms, and protect our rights and the rights of others.
We use information you share about your situation only to evaluate and respond to your inquiry and, if you become a client, to provide legal services. We do not use it to build marketing profiles.
5. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in the following circumstances:
- Service providers. We use third parties that help us run our website and our business, such as website hosting providers and customer relationship management, scheduling, and communications platforms. These providers may process your information on our behalf and only as needed to provide their services to us.
- Professionals involved in a matter. If you become a client, we may share information with experts, co-counsel, courts, and others as needed to handle your matter and as permitted by our engagement agreement and professional rules.
- Legal and safety reasons. We may disclose information when we believe it is required by law, legal process, or a government request, or when it is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of ALF Attorneys, our clients, or others.
- Business changes. If our firm is involved in a merger, reorganization, or similar transaction, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to our professional duties.
- With your consent. We may share information for other purposes when you direct us to or give us permission.
6. Calls, Text Messages, and Email
If you provide your telephone number, you agree that ALF Attorneys may contact you by phone call, text message, and email about your inquiry and related services. Calls and texts may be made using automated technology. Your consent is not a condition of receiving legal services from us. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. You may opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP, and you may reply HELP for assistance. You may also ask us to stop calling or emailing you by contacting us using the details in Section 15.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support of our services, such as customer service providers, is permitted. All other categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent, and this information will not be shared with any third parties.
If we record or monitor a telephone call, we will tell you at the start of the call.
7. Do Not Sell or Share, and Do Not Track
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share personal information with third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising. Because of this, we do not offer an opt-out link for those activities. If our practices change, we will update this Policy and provide any choices required by law. Our website responds to Global Privacy Control signals sent by your browser, to the extent required by law. Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" setting. There is currently no uniform standard for responding to these signals, so our website does not respond to them.
8. Cookies and Similar Technologies
Cookies are small files placed on your device. We and our service providers may use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies to keep the website working, remember your preferences, understand how visitors use the site, and keep it secure. You can control cookies through your browser settings, including by blocking or deleting them. Blocking some cookies may affect how the website works.
9. How Long We Keep Information
We keep inquiry information for as long as we need it to respond to you, evaluate your matter, and meet our legal, accounting, and professional responsibility obligations. If you become a client, records related to your matter are kept according to our file retention policy and applicable rules. When we no longer need personal information, we delete it or de-identify it.
10. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information. No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you believe your interaction with us is no longer secure, please contact us right away.
11. Your California Privacy Rights
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (the "CCPA"), gives you certain rights over your personal information.
Categories of personal information
In the past twelve months, we may have collected the following categories of personal information, as described in Section 3: identifiers and contact information (such as name, telephone number, and email address); internet or other electronic network activity (such as IP address and pages viewed); and information you voluntarily include in your message, which may include sensitive personal information such as health or injury details. We collect this information for the purposes described in Section 4. We may have disclosed these categories to the service providers described in Section 5 for business purposes. We have not sold personal information or shared it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Your rights
- Right to know. You may ask us to tell you what personal information we have collected about you, the categories of sources, the purposes for collecting it, the categories of third parties we disclose it to, and the specific pieces of information we hold.
- Right to delete. You may ask us to delete personal information we have collected from you, subject to legal exceptions, including our professional duties and record keeping obligations.
- Right to correct. You may ask us to correct inaccurate personal information.
- Right to opt out of sale or sharing. We do not sell or share personal information as defined by the CCPA.
- Right to limit use of sensitive personal information. We use sensitive personal information only to respond to your inquiry and provide the services you request, so we do not offer a separate limit option.
- Right to non-discrimination. We will not deny you services, charge you a different price, or provide a different level of service because you exercised your privacy rights.
How to make a request
To submit a request, email us at info@alfattorneys.com or call 424.535.1990. We will need to verify your identity before we can act on a request, which we usually do by matching the information you give us to the information we already have. You may use an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf. We may ask for written proof that the agent has your permission. We will respond within 45 days, and if we need more time, we will tell you why and extend the period by up to an additional 45 days as the law allows.
Shine the Light
California Civil Code Section 1798.83 allows California residents to request information about the disclosure of their personal information to third parties for those third parties' direct marketing purposes. We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes.
If you live in another state that provides privacy rights, you may contact us to ask about exercising those rights.
12. Children's Privacy
This website is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
13. Links to Other Websites
Our website may link to websites and services operated by others, including tools we use to evaluate vehicle claims. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their privacy practices. We encourage you to read the privacy policy of any site you visit.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version on this page and change the "Last updated" date above. If we make a material change, we will take reasonable steps to notify you, such as by posting a notice on the website. Your continued use of the website after an update means you accept the updated Policy.
